I have a number of creative outlets, and playing and writing music is one of them. Alongside writing electronic music, I play several wind instruments, do woodworking, paint, draw, and other hands-on forms that emphasize process, material constraint, and making as a way of thinking.

Some of the music shared here was written during a difficult period, mostly as a way to release pressure rather than explain what was going on. Sound offered a place to work without needing to resolve anything into language.

I’m drawn to various forms of music. Electronic music in particular, invites repetition, systems, and texture that is difficult (if not impossible) to imitate in other ways. Interestingly, though, it can immitate plenty. The process of writing music for me is slow and iterative, shaped as much by constraint and error as by intention. Like my other creative practices, it values attention over polish.

These pieces aren’t necessarily narratives or statements. They function more as environments than messages. Listening works best without trying to extract meaning. I made it in the moment and recommend listening to it in the here and now as well.

The music is available on SoundCloud and is shared here as part of my broader creative practice.
